JOAN MIRÓ. Creative book

Experience the thrill of discovering Joan Miró's work by entering his universe and experiencing first-hand his work processes. Understand his work and connect with his thought in a fun and rigorous way. 

You will find 11 creative actions that arise from the research carried out by Cuscusian+s and the Fundació Miró in Barcelona . Each action is accompanied by a brief explanation that relates it to his work.

Why and how we created it...

This project arose from the proposal of the Fundació Joan Miró of Barcelona to Cuscusian+s to organize the activity for families on the occasion of the exhibition "Miró and the object" (2015). I proposed them to make a co-creation process in which people of different profiles from the center itself as well as external people participated and that together we devised a artbook that invited to carry out creative actions in the different spaces of the magnificent building of the Foundation designed by the architect Sert.

For the printing of the original book-object, we worked with "L'Automàtica" a group of artists who have recovered material, machinery and printing techniques from the printing presses of the 60's (lead and wood typefaces, engravings of old advertisements...).
