About me

Hi, I'm Lluís Sabadell Artiga, visual artist and creator of Cuscusian+s.

For me, art is something alive, a passion that I experience intensely not only as a spectator but also as an artist. I also believe that it is fundamental for each person to connect deeply with his or her own creativity. This is one of the best gifts we can give ourselves.

That's why I created Cuscusian+s, to transmit the experience of art in an experiential and authentic way through artist games and creative objects for all ages, which invite you to explore your creativity and discover art as a unique experience.

I also investigate the creative processes of great artists and invite you to experiment with them. This is how, in a creative and fun way, you understand why Miró, Picasso, Magritte or Dalí did what they did, and the most important thing is that you don't understand it with words, but you experience it and therein lies the magic.

Each of our art games and creative objects are made with carefully selected, eco-designed materials and handcrafted finishes. They are small living sculptures that invite you to interact.

Cuscusian+s arises from the learnings of more than 30 years working as an artist in projects that link art and play, investigating the relationship between art and ecology and developing its own methodology of co-creation to invite people outside the art world to explore the immense potential of collective creativity as a tool for social transformation.

During all this time I have been very fortunate to work with great museums and art centers, such as the Fundació Joan Miró, Caixaforum, CosmoCaixa, the Magritte Museum in Brussels or the Royal Museums of Fine Arts in Belgium, among others.

The Cuscusian philosophy

Cuscusian+s is to take art as a game and at the same time to do it seriously, rigorously and respectfully. It is to believe that we are all creative and to provide tools to express that creativity. It is to believe in respect for people and the planet. It is a creative space where you can discover art as a unique experience and connect with your creativity in a free and accompanied way.
