Trayected Landscapes

Lluís Sabadell Artiga
"Like all things in the environment, the reality of an object is neither merely physical (or objective), nor merely mental (or subjective); it is trajective." Augustin Berque
"Landscapes paths"is a series of photographs taken in Finland based on the concept of trajection coined by the French geographer and philosopher Augustin Berque. The concept refers to the idea that landscape is a construction halfway between physical reality and the mental construction we make of that reality, filtered by our senses. Thus, it is constructed in a constant back and forth between subject and object. It is at this intermediate point (trajectory) where the landscape is born.
Photography, 2006.
